BREAKFAST
WITH THE JERSEY GIRLS

Eat Local week 2019

SUNDAY 30 JUNE 2019
Breakfast with the Jersey Girls is part of Scenic Rim Eat Local Week, and is the only day of the year we open up our whole farm to day visitors. This year we're focussing on the dairy and our new on-farm creamery. The only farm in Queensland processing it's own cream, on the farm, to make cultured butter and buttermilk.

Whether you'd like to experience the morning milking, meet and chat with the farmers, try our farm produce, feed our animals, learn the why & how of what we do or just soak up the sights & sounds of a real working farm - this is the day to do it!
FARM GATE FESTIVAL 2019

Breakfast with the Jersey Girls
7am to 12 noon
Dairy tours run from 7.30am to 9.30am only

Our heritage dates back to 1874 when this farm was first selected by Dave's Great Great Grandfather. Dairy was a big part of the farming enterprise for that first generation and it continues to be for us as 5th and 6th generations.

We're taking things right back to where they started, ironically to build a better future for our family farm. This year we launched our on-farm creamery - a micro dairy processing area to produce artisan dairy products right here on our farm. We're separating the cream, making butter and feeding skim milk to the pigs.

Breakfast with the Jersey Girls invites you to immerse yourself in the full dairy experience.

Join us for breakfast then the morning milking, separate the cream the old fashioned way, give butter making a go, feed the skim milk to the pigs, bottle feed the calves and explore our farm and family history. It's truly a backstage pass to our family farm.

This is the only day of the year where day visitors get to experience every part of our farm operation - see what really goes into bringing your dairy products from the farm to the fridge.
